Housing Construction-Related Contracting Opportunities with Preferences for Section 3 Businesses

-- and Ontario, or other areas of San Bernardino or Riverside Counties

Who Qualifies? If you are a business located in any of the Cities listed above AND any ONE of the following three items, you qualify:
1) A business at least 51% owned by Section 3 residents. Section 3 residents are any ONE of the following items a, b or c:
a) Low income including those with disabilities: Your gross (all income earners) household income does not exceed the “Low Income” (80% of Area Median Income) column below. If you have more than 8 individuals in your household please call at the number below.

b) Public and assisted housing resident
c) Participants in HUD Youth-Build programs
2) A business that has at least 30% of its its full-time, permanent staff/employees who are currently Section 3 Residents as defined above OR were Section 3 eligible residents within three (3) years of the date of first employment with the business.
3) A business that will agree to subcontract at least 25% of the dollar awarded to qualified Section 3 Businesses

Funding may in part be from HUD’s Neighborhood Stabilization Program. Priority will be given to residents of the specific cities listed above. Other Inland Empire areas will have lower priority.
